The Chambersburg Project Youth Missions Trip is a week long local missions trip held each July. During the week, youth from area churches renovate and repair homes for residents of Franklin County who are unable to make the repairs themselves due to physical limitations or financial circumstances. Normally the youth spend the week at a local facility/school, sleeping overnight in supervised “dorms”, and are served full breakfast and dinner daily. Packed lunches and snacks are provided. The teens work during the day throughout Franklin County and in the evening, they join together for devotions, guest speakers, and praise and worship. However this year (2021) the project will function as a day camp with the evening program being conducted late afternoon. This years schedule will run from 7 AM to 5:30 PM daily with an extended day on Thursday allowing for an evening at the Chambersburg Pool. Transportation is provided by use of donated church vans and volunteers.
The Chambersburg Project leadership provides direction and guidance. The leadership teams consist of adult volunteers serving on a Board of Directors and as Project Team leaders.
